48

The last 48 hours would probably be my most exciting 48 hours for weeks to come. Woke up at 2pm in the afternoon and Alex suggested that we go paua fishing. After a call to Jocelyn and May, we got our jackets and off we go.

Too bad when we arrived at Shag Point, it was almost high tide and we could see but not catch (not sure if this is the right term as they don't run) paua. The scenery there was amazing though. Seals and paua shells, beautiful creation of God. On our trip back to Dunedin, we were really hungry so we stopped by a Fish n' Chips shop for food and saw this interesting poster.

Guessing time: How many of the items in this poster are edible?

Got home, had dinner and off to bed at 8pm. What I had in mind was a short 1 hour nap and ended up sleeping through the night until 4am. Just when I was having a wonderful dream about food, the fire alarm at Unicol went off. The 'beauty' of living in the biggest hall of residence in Dunedin with 500+ students. Got up and got everyone out through the fire escape stairs and into the rain. Turned out that a burnt toast had us all waiting outside in the cold for 20 minutes. Interesting comments that I heard include "who ******** eat toast at this time", "I will ******* give the person ********. Living in a hall has its pros and cons but this definitely was not what I had in mind when I moved in at the start of the year.

2 episodes of House and several attempts at counting sheep later, I went back to bed, only to wake up late for church (Oh no!!!) Thank God I woke up before, not after the service has finished. Wonderful sermon from Ps. Graeme about Jesus coming at 4th watch of the night and that we have to have faith to hold on till then and to call out for God, regardless of the situation.

Brunch and after quick packing, off we go again for paua fishing, this time with Janice, Greg, Kitty and Tao. Saw many baby paua, so cute but too bad we can't catch them as it's illegal. Kitty took lots of interesting pictures tho.

Look at Kitty and Tao, so pro at posing *jealous*

Unidentifiable object. Suspect: sea snail

Urinating? Yuck...

Three beautiful girls: Janice, Kitty and Jane Doe

We came back literally minutes before the last formal dinner at Unicol started. Quick cleaning up and changing before going into the dining hall. The food served was probably as good as it gets. Awesome food, awesome fun and awesome floor mates!
